International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on the 8^th of March each year to mark the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.  It also serves as a call to action for accelerating gender parity as we celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness about women’s equality.

Link Financial Group held a virtual coffee morning to mark International Women’s Day.  Team members from around Link’s 8 European entities joined the session to mark the occasion and a panel of speakers covered a wide range of topics including women on boards, the impact of caring responsibilities on careers and the detrimental effects of “imposter syndrome”.

Delegates shared experiences of when they had supported women to achieve their goals, as well as examples of women who had inspired them personally.  They also discussed characteristics which help build confidence – self-belief, ambition, and independence – as well as helpful habits such as good time management and learning to accept that some things on to do lists will never get done.
